Rocky Pine Ranching

WW Silky Gold

2002 CPAR Palomino Mare
QF Caveat x Belalta's Sunshine Lady
15.1 H.H.

Silky is a beautiful, Half-Arabian/Saddlebred mare. She is trained as a Western Pleasure mount, but has not been shown since she was a Junior Horse. Silky is a very personable horse that is a joy to work with. She is very smooth and carries herself well. She has the personality and presence to get noticed in the show ring, but is also very sensible under saddle. Silky has been ridden both inside the arena, as well as out on the trail. She would suit an intermediate rider, and we feel she would do well as a 4-H mount.

RP Doc Drummer

2004 Bay APHA Gelding
Northern Minuet x Sabre Robin Lady
16.1 Hands High

RP Doc Drummer is a very quiet, easy-going 16.1 hand high gelding. He is a registered Bay/Overo Paint with a minimal amount of white. He has been ridden both inside the arena, as well as out on the trail. Drummer has the potential to do well in both English and Western, but is showing the greatest aptitude for Hunter Pleasure. He has a big, easy, floating trot, and a soft, round canter with great drive. Drummer is a fast learner with a quiet manner, and he enjoys being around people. Many of his siblings have gone on to be 3-Day Eventers or Hunter/Jumper mounts. He has had his teeth done and regular farrier and deworming care.

RP Coutts Spider

2004 Dun Registered Spanish Mustang Mare
RP Coutts Midnight Cowboy x Baby Blue
15 Hands High

RP Coutts Spider is a good looking, useable Spanish Mustang mare. She is a very willing learner who enjoys having a job. As with all the other Spanish Mustangs, she is very sturdy and an easy keeper. Spider has excellent bone and feet and is compatible with a wide range of riders. She neck reins, does turn on the forehand, turn on the haunches, sidepass, back-up, transitions up and down, all very well. She is extremely smooth and comfortable to ride. Spider was used in the mountains in 2009 and would make an excellent trail riding or ranch horse.

RP Prairie Lakota

2006 Registered Spanish Mustang Roan Mare
RP Coutts Midnight Cowboy x Baby Blue
14.1 Hands High

We have a lot of fun with our Spanish Mustangs. They are so smooth to ride and make excellent trail horses, and Lakota is no exception.  With Lakota, we have been working on turn on the forehand, turn on the haunches, sidepass, backup, transitions up and down, and some easy flexion. She has been ridden both inside the arena, as well as out on the trail. With Lakota's easy going personality and size, we have been preparing her to be a kids' horse.  At this point in time, she does require an intermediate rider, but with a bit more work, will make a nice ladies horse or child's mount.

Once again, we have a uniquely colored eye catching horse. Flash has an excellent start – he has been ridden inside the arena, as well as out on the trail. He has a very easy-going personality that would suit almost any rider. Although he is young, we feel that he would do well as a 4-H horse. He knows all of the basics – turn on the forehand, turn on the haunches, sidepass, back-up, transitions up and down, and does them all very well.
